about this PROPERTY
The New Yorker Hotel, located at 481 Eighth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen, is an iconic Art Deco landmark that opened in 1930. Designed by Sugarman and Berger, it was once Manhattan’s largest hotel, featuring over 2,500 rooms, grand ballrooms, its own power plant, and underground access to Penn Station. After closing in 1972 and later being repurposed, it reopened in 1994 and now offers around 1,000 renovated rooms and suites. The hotel retains much of its historic charm, with on-site dining including the Tick Tock Diner, 23,000 square feet of event space, a fitness center, and signature Art Deco design.
